About this project
San Francisco is one of the most food-obsessed cities in the United States, with over 7,500 restaurants within its 47 square miles. For food industry workers, the competition is fierce, the hours are long, and the work is exhausting. In this turbulent climate where 64 restaurants closed in the winter of 2017 alone, it’s easy to lose hope. But chefs have found a way to stay motivated and flex their creative muscles.
Welcome to the pop-up revolution.
