Adapting to the Times

We are confined to the walls of our homes, struggling to maintain motivation and productivity while keeping our mental health intact. During this period of isolation, we are looking for different ways to escape boredom, fill our time and stay entertained.

Alex Drew: Being at Home

Being advised to shelter in place in March was something I never imagined happening. It forced me to leave my life in San Francisco and go back home to San Diego, where I’ve documented my social isolation. It’s given me the chance to spend quality time with my family and get my head straight as everything unraveled. I took it day by day and did my best to live actively, connecting with my peers in San Francisco and focusing on school.

Nia Coats: Reflecting Time

Since the shelter-in-place place order, I have taken time to reflect. I have been thinking about a lot of things — how I want to change my diet, what I miss the most right now (besides my granny) and the way I want to make my blog better. I hope to become more familiar with myself during this time.

Anne Lima: Family and Essential Errands

My days are spent completing school assignments and watching shows on Netflix. I only run essential errands to limit my outside presence to once every couple of weeks. For Easter, my mom came to visit me from Los Angeles. We bought groceries and she dished out a home-cooked meal.
